Another one bites the dust
Ms. Salty got her usual 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg omelette with vegetables. We were happy that they didn’t make a fuss about the eggs. She said it was very tasty as well.
The second time we came was a bit different. They told us that it’s too complicated to separate the yolk from the white so they can’t make the omelette. We stayed though and I had my lecsó, which was as good as the first time. We talked to the manager afterwards and told him our egg conundrum. He apologized and said that he’ll talk to the kitchen about making egg white omelettes.
Ms. Salty said the omelette despite its looks was good. I ordered a Maroccan chickpea soup with spinach. Nothing spectacular but it was good. I also ordered chicken wings with coleslaw. Two of the five pieces were old. Most likely leftover from a couple days ago. They were dry and the meat was tough. The other 3 were fresh and they were pretty good. I didn’t like the slaw at all, it had way too much mayo in it. But that’s just my taste. Everything in it was fresh.
We’ll definitely return but I for sure will stay with the lecsó cause that thing is pretty dang delicious.
I’m really fucked with my “egg whites mania” but this place was another sanctuary. There are a lot of toppings you can choose from and they gave me a great omelette. I was over the moon. Good food, good price, nice design. We put Keksz on our list for breakfast.
The second time we went there and the kitchen refused to make my omelette because it’s too complicated. Come on! What happened? I’m sure I looked like a child who lost her favorite toy, so Yuzu asked for the manager to sort this out. The guy was cool, he said he will talk to the kitchen and we definitely should come back and I’ll get my eggs as I want them. So, I comforted myself with a coffee later and went to the gym to release the disappointment.
Third time is a charm… We went and we got the omelette just like I wanted. It tasted okay, everything was fine. So, I hope they will keep this great habit and make the egg white omelette. I’m in a big need for places like them.
