Wine and dine
I’m sad to say this but the only reason I keep returning to this restaurant is because they have a specific vintage of a single vineyard pinot from a wine maker who has passed, unfortunately. I reserved the last bottles so whenever I feel like having that wine, we go here. Unfortunately, there is only one bottle left now. The service is excellent, the waiters are professional and super nice, the sommelier is very knowledgeable, the ambiance is good and so is the food, and that is just the problem. It’s nothing amazing. Worth trying their goose liver appetizer selection because that is pretty dang good. There are just too many other places I would rather go for this price.
Sometimes it’s pleasant to dress up, act like an adult and eat small bites as you sit like a lady. The food is nice, I loved the steak, they were great with my changes of the side dish (I always prefer veggies with everything) and I really liked the whole experience in general. As Mr. Yuzu said, it is good… with a chance to be great.
